When is the zoo open? All year long, every day! Winter: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Sunday and during Bank Holidays an during school holidays until 6 p.m.; Summer: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Easily accessible by public transport? Rotterdam Zoo has 2 entrances. Our Riviera Hall entrance is very close to the Rotterdam Central Station. It's a 12 minutes' walk or take tram 11 or bus service 40, 44 or 49. Our main entrance Oceanium can be reached with bus service 33 or 40 . Arriving by car? On the Northern ring road (A20) take exit no. 13 'Blijdorp'. Guarded parking (€ 6,00). Pets To protect the animals at the Rotterdam Zoo (in conjunction with possible fear reactions and the spread of diseases against which our animals have no resistance), pets cannot be admitted. Even for guide dogs for the blind we are unfortunately unable to make an exception, but in this situation, a solution can always be found. The zoo has no kennel. Wheelchairs/buggies The Rotterdam Zoo is well accessible to those in wheelchairs. There is a limited number of wheelchairs available free of charge. You should reserve this ahead of time. And there are also plenty of benches at pretty locations along your route. For a relaxed voyage of discovery with smaller children, you can also rent a buggy at the entrance. |
